A HUGE “weeping wall” of poppies has been created and is currently on display in a shopping centre in Rhyl.
The wall, comprising more than 600 poppies, can be found in the White Rose Centre, along with a giant poppy guardsman, which was made last year.
Both the poppy wall and man were designed by Cheryl, a friend of Richard Kendrick, who organises fundraising activities for the Royal British Legion (RBL) as well as children’s and emergency services charities.
The man measures more than 7ft in height, while the wall is roughly 20ft in length.

Richard said: “He (poppy man) is made of about 120 knitted poppies. He’s lovely.
“The wall is about 20ft long, made of about 650 poppies! They’re proper paper poppies from the RBL; it looks lovely.
“I’m hoping a shop in Rhyl is going to have it. I want it to go somewhere where lots of people will see it.”
Richard has also been involved in arranging the Armistice Day service in Rhyl, which will be held on Friday, November 11 in the town’s War Memorial Gardens.
All are welcome at the service.
