A WOMAN from Colwyn Bay has been banned from the roads and fined after pleading guilty to drink-driving while in Rhyl.
Sally Hamilton, 45, of Voryn Avenue, Old Colwyn, was accused of driving a Nissan Micra vehicle on Water Street on October 1 with 46 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
She pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on October 17.
Hamilton was disqualified from driving for 14 months, though this ban will be reduced by 14 weeks if she completes an obligatory course by July 9, 2023.
The court ordered her to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85, a fine of £300, and a £120 victim surcharge.
This totalled £505, to be paid in monthly instalments of £100 from October 31.
