RHYL Rugby Club has launched a new menu for anyone aged older than 60 at its bar and restaurant.
The club’s “senior citizen’s menu” launched on Monday (October 24) at its Calon Y Ddraig bar at Tynewydd Fields, Tynewydd Road, comprising six main courses and three deserts.
A one-course meal costs just £6.50, while two courses cost £8.50, and mains are also served with free tea or coffee.
The main courses are as follows:
• Fish, chips and peas.
• Ham, egg and chips.
• Liver and onions, with chips or mash.
• Faggots, peas and chips.
• Sausage, mash, peas and gravy.
• Scampi, chips and peas.
The deserts available are:
• Apple pie and custard.
• Fudge cake and ice cream.
• Ice cream.

Lee Blackmore, club manager, said: “We just felt that there was a need for it, with the way the country is at the moment.
“There’s a bit of a recession creeping in, so money’s a little bit tight, especially for older people. So, we thought we’d do a senior citizens’ range.
“Obviously, we only started it on Monday, but it’s gone well so far. Feedback’s been good.”
