A MAN from Rhyl has been jailed after he was found guilty of committing theft four times on the same night at a holiday park in the town.
Lewis Thomas, 28, of Gwynfryn Avenue, was accused of stealing the following at Marine Holiday Park on June 28, 2021:
- A light grey rattan bench and a garden lantern, worth a combined £200, belonging to Johnathan McHale.
- A Black+Decker jigsaw, a socket set, and a black holdall containing various tools, worth a combined £260, belonging to Yvonne Jones.
- A silver mountain bike worth £160 belonging to Michael McMahon.
- A rattan furniture set worth £400 belonging to Alan Hulme.
He was found guilty of all four offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on October 3.
Thomas was jailed for 12 weeks (three weeks for each offence), which was said to be due to his “spree of thefts in one evening”.
He avoided having to pay costs of any sort due to his custodial sentence and his lack of means.
