UKRAINIAN music, food and crafts all featured at a fundraising event in Prestatyn last weekend.
A concert held on Saturday, October 15 at Trinity Methodist Church, which has been the venue for a hub organised by Cytun (Churches Together in Wales) for Ukrainian refugees.
It raised £1,200 in total, which will be used to buy supplies for Ukrainian soldiers amid the ongoing war in their home country.
Tanya, a Ukrainian woman, organised the concert, saying: “On Saturday, we had a Ukrainian charity concert in Prestatyn. They told of their history, traditions, arts, music and others.
“Small and adult Ukrainians sang songs, played on musical instruments and danced.
“A small girl, Kateryna, sang the song: ‘Stop the War’; it was very emotional.
“After the concert, guests had opportunity to buy Ukrainian hand-made gifts and taste traditional ‘borshch’ and bakeries.
“They raised £1,200. All of the money will send to buy medicines and warm clothes for Ukrainian soldiers.”

Cllr Gareth Sandilands (Prestatyn South West ward), who attended the concert, said: “It was great to watch the concert showcasing the Ukrainian culture and saying thanks for supporting them here in Prestatyn and across Wales.”
There are believed to be more than 40 Ukrainian families currently living in and near Prestatyn.
On October 14, the day before the concert, Cllr Sandilands also attended the 21st birthday celebration at Kings Hall Community Centre for Prestatyn and Meliden's “You'll Never Walk Alone” walking group.
This health programme was introduced by Prestatyn Town Council in 2001.
The group was joined by Cllr Tina Jones MBE, mayor of Prestatyn and Meliden, who jointly cut the celebration cake with Martin Fearnley, who launched the initiative in 2001.
In her speech, the mayor congratulated everyone in the group for their contribution to the health and wellbeing of thousands of residents, and wished the scheme every success for the future.
Martin was the guest of honour, attending on crutches following a recent hip operation.
More than 80 people attended the event, with walkers past and present together with supporters of the scheme, which offers a weekly programme of social walks led by a team of trained walk leaders.
The walks are free and all are welcome whatever their age or ability.
