New soft play area to open in Rhyl after buyer found for site
Rhyl resident Lauren Jones, who has bought the site, told the Journal last week: “It’s a completely new thing for me; we’ve got lots of ideas. I’ve got lots of support from my partner and family, but it’s just me (running the business).
“We’re still going to have soft play, and parties for hire. We’re going to move towards food a little more, with things like all-day breakfasts, so that it’s a bit more of a café.”
Lollie’s Play Café will also be open from 9am-5pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The site will continue to provide many of the amenities which made Planet Play such a success, including indoor and outdoor play areas, “Digger Den”, and a café.
It will also be able to operate as a children’s party venue, while a Halloween disco has also been planned for Monday, October 31.
Previous site owners Jay Vann and wife Sarah, will continue to run their other Planet Play base in Towyn, meanwhile.
