THE Good News Family Church in Rhyl will be providing free hot food, hot drinks and warmth to those who need it from October 18.
Located on Marsh Road, the church will be offering shelter, food and drink on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 11am and 1pm as the cost-of-living and energy crisis take a toll on families across the country.
The church already runs a food share point for those struggling to get by.
Natasha Lauren Angell, who works with the church, said: “Due to the sheer necessity to help those in need further we are opening our church up on a Tuesday and Wednesday for free hot foods and hot drinks and a place to get warm.
“We have many clients who come to use our food share who actually can’t afford to heat their homes - families with children.”
Ms Angell said that the church had other plans ‘in the pipeline’ to help those in need of support.
