A PUB in Rhyl is to close this weekend after its owner considered it “the right decision for my family and me”.
The Swan Inn, on Russell Road, will shut its doors after this weekend (October 1-2), with owner Rachel Wright saying she was unable to keep running it.
A post from Rachel on the pub’s Facebook page read: “I will be closing The Swan this weekend.
“Unfortunately, even after all the effort that went into bringing this lovely pub back to life, I can no longer continue to run it.
“There are various factors that have been taken into account and it is the right decision for my family and me.

“I'd like to thank all the customers who have kept me company and made me laugh.
“Thanks to a fantastic bar team, who made working together such a pleasure.
“Drinks prices will be reduced this weekend for everyone. Karaoke is still going ahead tonight (September 30) and tomorrow, so come join us before we go!”
“Hopefully it won't stay closed for too long and the brewery will find someone to come in and give the pub the life it deserves.”
In July, the pub hosted a fundraiser event in aid off 11 Rhyl relatives who lost all of their possessions following a house fire.
The event, which featured an auction, live entertainment for adults and children, and a raffle, raised roughly £300 for the family.
