Social media users have shared their outrage over claims that TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Scholfield were caught ‘skipping the queue’ to see the Queen lying in state.
The This Morning presenters were seen in Westminster Hall on Friday as they filmed a segment for the popular daytime show that is expected to air on Tuesday.
The pair were both dressed in black clothing as they paid their respects to the longest reigning monarch, who died on September 8.
With the pair visiting the Hall to film for their daytime program they weren’t required to queue in line with the public and instead were able to join a separate queue just for the press.

As an ITV source said the pair had press accreditation and were there alongside other broadcasters and national press outlets.
Adding that all press was taken to a press gallery and were not able to pay respects in the same way that the queueing public is able to.
Public outrage as Phillip Scholfield and Holly Willoughby caught ‘skipping queue’
However, when the public spotted the pair skipping the queue via the BBC live stream of the lying in the state, the public shared their disapproval on social media.
As they began to accuse the duo of "jumping the queue" whilst the public faced a wait of up to 24 hours to see the Queen's coffin.

Another wrote: “Philip Schofield skips the queue to see The Queen’s coffin! Why does Holly Willoughby have a face mask on? Because she’s ashamed she’s a queue jumper? Disgraceful.”
Whilst another Twitter user shared an image of an elderly woman who had waited, saying: “An image to shame Schofield, Willoughby and anyone else who think they are greater than the rest of us.”

The outrage comes after crowds spotted ex-footballer David Beckham queuing to pay his respects to her majesty.
Beckham queued for over 12 hours after joining the line at 2am, sharing that he got through the night with snacks such as "Pringles, sherbet lemons, sandwiches, coffee and doughnuts".
Fellow ITV presenter, Susanna Reid also queued for several hours alongside the public.
Twitter users took the time to praise the pair, with one writing: “Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have jumped the queue, to view the coffin. Other people, like Susanna Reid and David Beckham, have joined the back of the queue. This tells you everything you need to know about the ‘poverty game show’ duet.”
Massive respect to David Beckham & Susanna Reid who has queued for many hours like most other people and pay their respects to the Queen. Not surprised that Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby got a press pass to allow them to jump the queue. Disgraceful. Bad decision by them.
