A COACH service based in Dyserth is to provide return trips to London this weekend to allow residents to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II following her death.
Voel Coaches will provide travel to Westminster Hall on September 16 and 17, where the Queen is lying in state, before trips to London on September 18 and 19 for the Queen’s funeral.
The Queen died aged 96 on Thursday, September 8 after 70 years on the British throne.
Taking two coaches each day, the September 18 trips will be an overnight stay (£249) at St Giles Hotel, ahead of the state funeral the following day.
Coaches on September 16 and 17 are fully booked, with few seats remaining for journeys on the other two dates (day trips - £99).
Coaches will park at Wembley for the Queen’s funeral, which takes place at Westminster Abbey at 11am on September 19.

En route to London, the coaches will stop in Abergele, Towyn, Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Meliden, Dyserth, Trelawnyd, Holywell, Northop and Ewloe.
Voel Coaches marketing manager, Chris Gentile, said he felt obliged to organise these trips after such enormous demand, and Voel Coaches is a family-run business itself.
He said: “We’ve had over 600 requests. It’s been absolutely mad.
“We run trips every year to the Royal Collection properties, so we knew our customer base liked the royals.
“As a family-run business ourselves, we understand that, when something like this happens, we need to all come together and unite.
“Once we had all of the requests last Friday, it’s just blown up since then. It’s been chaos, but it will definitely be worth it.
“On the Friday and Saturday, we’re full, but we’ve got about eight seats left for Sunday and 12 for Monday.
“(For the funeral) we’re going to Wembley, because that’s where Transport for London has provided as the official coach parking. Customers will then jump on the tube into central London.
"Normally, for London, we'd sell it at £45 to £50, but we don't know how long we’re going to be in London for, and have got hotels and meals for our drivers.
“It’s been unlike anything I’ve ever organised before. I’m more grey now than I was last Friday, that’s for sure!”

In March, Voel Coaches received an estimated £30,000 worth of donations of essential items in just three days to send to those in Ukraine, following Russia’s invasion of the country.
During the summer, the company also organised trips to Liverpool’s museums, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm Park, and the The National Slate Museum in Llanberis for families to enjoy, without Voel Coaches standing to make any profit from the initiative.
