THE 1891 restaurant at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre will re-open this month with an autumn/winter menu, a new layout and exclusive Christmas parties.

The restaurant, on Rhyl’s waterfront, is re-opening its upstairs dining from Thursday to Sunday.

Following the devastating flooding at the Rhyl Pavilion last year, an extensive refurbishment has given 1891 restaurant and bar a fresh new look.

It has been open just for pre-theatre dining and Sunday lunch, but now the restaurant is ready to open to the public on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, as well.

From tomorrow (September 15) onwards, the opening hours/days at 1891 restaurant are:

  • Thursday/Friday/Saturday – 4.30 - 8.30pm (serving food).
  • Sunday – 12 - 4pm (serving food).

Its exclusive menus include bringing its terrace indoors with tapas evenings, new grill nights, and 1891 afternoon tea.

You can also take in seaside sunset views stretching from Llandudno, all the way up the North Wales coast.

Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, said: “To say we were devastated by what happened to our beautiful flagship 1891 restaurant, would be an understatement.

“However, in true Denbighshire Leisure Ltd style, we have brought 1891 back even better than before, with an elegant and sophisticated new style, including a more intimate restaurant area.

“Our newly decorated and beautifully refurbished first floor sea-view restaurant will be opening with a stunning new menu, especially designed by our head chef.

“This autumn, we cannot wait to welcome people back to the restaurant, and why not celebrate Christmas in style with our exclusive Christmas parties?

“Watch this space for more information on our first New Year’s Eve party, too!”
