DENBIGHSHIRE County Council has announced that planned public meetings of the Council or its committees will not take place until after September 26.

This is due to the public mourning period following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the law states that periods of public mourning cannot be counted for the purposes of giving notice of formal public meetings of the Council or its formal Committees.

This means that the Council cannot hold formal public meetings of bodies such as Cabinet or Scrutiny or other committees until September 26 at the earliest.

The meetings affected are:

  • 14 September – Licensing
  • 15 September– Partnership Scrutiny
  • 16 September – Standards Committee
  • 20 September-Cabinet
  • 21 September– Governance and Audit

Information about any new committee dates will be announced when they are confirmed.
