AN ARTIST from St Asaph who captured "happy memories" at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee has released a painting in a touching tribute to Her Majesty.
Elysia Gilman, 22, painted a picture celebrating Queen Elizabeth II and has released the artwork as a tribute to the her "wonderful life and 70 years of service".
The painting shows the Queen smiling - donning the green outfit she wore on the Buckingham Palace balcony - during the Jubilee celebrations.
It also features an image of the young Queen, the Royal Family on the balcony and the Mall - adorned with Union Jack flags.
Elysia said: "I painted this following Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee, I wanted to create a few paintings capturing the memorable moments from the celebration.
"With this one, I just wanted to paint key moments from the weekend and emphasise her 70-year reign.
"After the sad news last week I wanted to share the painting - not only of the happy memories of the event but to mark her long reign."

Elysia, who studied art at Loughborough University, said the painting took her around a month to complete.
She said: "It was a big painting, it had so many elements. I just wanted to capture the Jubilee."
In the painting, you can see Prince Louis, the red arrows, and an image of the Queen at the beginning of her reign as well as at during the Jubilee celebrations.

Releasing the painting, Elysia said: "To our wonderful Queen Elizabeth II, thank you.
"It is hard to find the right words on such a sad day.
"This painting was a celebration of your Platinum Jubilee, but I feel I should share it in the hope that it will serve as a celebration of your life too.
"For 70 years, your unwavering commitment to duty and unmatched dignity has been an inspiration to us all.
"Rest in peace, Your Majesty, and thank you for a lifetime of service. You were a wonderful light in this world and it will not be the same without you."
Elysia was in her studio when she received the news that Queen Elizabeth II had died.
She said: "I was really, really upset, I had just finished the painting a few weeks ago and I sent a letter to the palace with a few images inside hoping that the Queen would see it."
Elysia said that out of respect for Her Majesty, for the time being, the painting will not be going up for sale.
She said: "I wanted to share the painting to show my respect for the Queen. If members of the royal family could see it, that would be amazing.
"I would love to bring them some happiness during this sad time."
