A WOMAN from Prestatyn has received unpaid work and a ban from the roads after she pleaded guilty to committing four driving-related offences in Conwy.
Leanne Pilkington, 35, of Seabank Drive, was accused of the following while driving a Ford vehicle on the A55 in Conwy on May 27:
• Driving with no less than 12.7 micrograms per litre of blood of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC - the cannabinoid molecule in marijuana).
• Driving without third party insurance.
• Driving while disqualified.
• Driving without a valid test certificate.
She pleaded guilty to all four offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on August 31.
Pilkington was ordered to serve a 36-month ban from driving, and to complete 100 hours’ unpaid work by August 30, 2023.
She is also to complete a maximum of 30 days’ rehabilitation activity.
The court also ordered her to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 and a victim surcharge of £95.
This total of £180 is to be paid in monthly, £30 instalments from September 21.
