A GIRL from Prestatyn is on her way to America after winning a title at the Royal UK Pageants last weekend.
Alyssa Dean, 12, was crowned Miss Royal UK Pre-Teen at the event, which was held at the Middleton Arena in Manchester on Saturday (August 20).
She will now compete at the Royal International Miss Pageants in Florida in July 2023.
Alyssa’s fame has grown throughout Denbighshire having made more than 200 care packages and blankets made of crisp packets for homeless people in the last year.
Alyssa, who was named International Junior Miss North Wales Pre-Teen 2021, has raised thousands through taking part in numerous pageants.
Her mum, Darlene, supported her at the pageant, and said how proud she was of her daughter.
Darlene said: “It was really good, she was really confident. She had another photoshoot on the Sunday, as well - we even received another donation of crisp packets!
“She’s had a break for a bit (from making crisp packet blankets), to concentrate on the pageant, but she’ll go back to it.”
