A MAN was bitten by a dog in Rhyl last week, with police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

This was on Thursday (August 8), at the entrance of Brickfields Pond.

The dog is thought to be a large, grey Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and was with two other dogs believed to be of the same breed.

North Wales Police (NWP) have made an appeal for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.

NWP Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele said: “Last Thursday (August 8) at approximately 9.40am, a man was bitten by a dog at the entrance of Brickfields Pond, Rhyl.

“The dog was believed to be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, grey in colour and large in stature.

“The dog was accompanied by two other dogs that were believed to be of the same breed.
