A MAN from Conwy had racially abused two PCs – calling them “racist white b*****ds” - after they were called to trouble outside a Rhyl kebab house, a court heard today (August 17).

Marcus Dudley, 37, of Erasmus Street, Penmaenmawr, had also threatened to fight with police last April, the court at Llandudno was told.

He admitted two offences of racially aggravated disorderly behaviour and received an 18-week suspended jail term.

Dudley must pay £200 in compensation to each of the two officers and £85 in costs.

Defence solicitor Nia Dawson said Dudley had apologised to the officers, and he had been subjected to racism throughout his life.

Dudley had been “deep-rooted” in the drinking culture at the time but had gone voluntarily into hospital, been given medication, and came out alcohol-free.

She added that he had full-time work and had moved from Rhyl.

Mrs Dawson remarked: “He’s not very proud of the person he was back in April.”

District judge Gwyn Jones said Dudley had been under the influence of alcohol.

He added: “You accepted your behaviour was totally inappropriate and expressed some remorse.”
