A NUMBER of summer activities have been organised by Prestatyn Town Council, including open-top bus tours of the town; sketch, draw and paint sessions; and social bowling.
The circular open-top tours will run each day from August 22-26, and will be free of charge.
Lasting 15 minutes, there will be 12 tours between 11am and 2.40pm each day, starting at Prestatyn Crazy Golf and stopping at:
• Prestatyn beaches.
• Pontins Prestatyn.
• Powells Of Prestatyn Jewellers.
• Marks and Spencer (side entrance).
A “Play Bus”, featuring two floors of fun for children to enjoy, including a ball pit, slide and piano mat, will also be open, free of charge at the following locations (all 10am-4pm:
• North Wales Bowls, Ferguson Avenue (August 10).
• Lower High Street, Prestatyn (August 12).
• Leisure Centre, Prestatyn High School (August 15).
• Deva Evangelical Church, Ffordd Pant Y Celyn (August 16).
• Jubilee Community Centre, Seabank Drive (August 18).
• Masonic Hall, Meliden (August 19).
Table tennis sessions, with coach Barry Russ, have also been set up at Ty Caradoc Community Centre, every Monday morning up to and including August 22.
Costing £1 a session (which includes equipment), they last from 9.45-11.45am.
Social bowling is also taking place at North Wales Bowls on Mondays from 10-11am, where people can learn how to play bowls and meet new friends.
All are welcome for a £2 entry fee.

Finally, sketch, draw and paint sessions are being held at Prestatyn Town Council’s offices on Nant Hall Road.
Led by community art tutor and artist Helen Taylor, the sessions are entitled “Prestatyn Landmarks in Art”, and are taking place every Thursday up to and including August 25.
Lasting from 10.30am-1pm, the sessions cost £1 per child, and booking is essential.
A Bonfire Night session will also be held between 10.30am and 1pm on November 3.
