A ONLINE fundraiser page gathered £2,700 to support the family of a Rhyl woman who died after falling out of bed last month.

Natasha Simpson, known as “Tasha”, began having a seizure in the early hours of Sunday, July 3, and after being admitted to hospital, was found to have a brain aneurysm.

Tasha was airlifted to a specialist unit in Stoke, but the aneurysm ruptured, causing, in the doctor’s words, a “catastrophic bleed” and rendering her brain-dead.

After being on life support, Tasha was sadly pronounced dead on Tuesday, July 5.

Sasha Roberts, sister-in-law of Tasha’s mother, Debbie Budsworth, set up the donations page on the GoFundMe website in aid of both Debbie and Naylah, Tasha’s two-year-old daughter.

The amount raised, Sasha wrote, will go towards costs for Tasha’s funeral, which is tomorrow (August 3), and to funding days out for Naylah.

Sasha wrote: “I am trying to raise some money, not only to help with the funeral, but to give Naylah a couple of days out.

“Maybe a little holiday once the funeral is over, something nice for her to help ease the grief.

“Even in death, Tasha helped people, as Debbie and the family graciously agreed for organ donation.

“Debbie, Tasha's mother, is having such a hard time, both financially and emotionally.

“Not only has she lost her daughter and best friend, but, she now finds herself looking after Naylah, who is also grieving.

"Debbie isn't in great health herself, so is reliant on benefits, and no-one expects to lose their daughter at 25, so no funeral plans had been put in place.

“Tasha was so full of life and had everything to live for, including her gorgeous daughter Naylah, who, as you can imagine, is completely destroyed at the loss of her mother.”

The final amount of £2,700 was raised from a total of 168 donations.
