A MAN from Rhyl has received a suspended sentence after he was found guilty of carrying an offensive weapon, and of threatening behaviour, in the town.
Christopher Fredericks, 32, of Princes Street, was accused of possessing a snooker cue and ball, and of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
This was on Water Street on July 3.
Mr Fredericks was found guilty of both offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on July 18.

He received a 26-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
The sentence was suspended due to his guilty plea and him being in employment.
The court also ordered Mr Fredericks to complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
Mr Fredericks is also to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £154 victim surcharge.
This total of £239 is to be paid in full by August 15.
