A MAN from Rhyl has received a conditional discharge after he was found guilty of two counts of theft from a supermarket in the town.
Daniel Percival, 32, of Gwynfryn Avenue, was accused of stealing spirits worth £64 from Morrisons on Marsh Road on May 2.
He was also accused of stealing spirits worth £33.98 from the same supermarket on May 5.
Mr Percival pleaded guilty to both offences on July 11 at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court.
He was handed a two-year conditional discharge.

The court also ordered Mr Percival to pay £97.98, the cumulative value of the products he stole, in compensation.
Mr Percival must also pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, to be paid in full as a lump sum within 28 days.
An application was also made by the court for deductions from Mr Percival’s benefits.
