THE highly-anticipated Dylan’s store in Conwy opened on the weekend, as customers had a chance to see the stylish new interior.
The store opened on Saturday, 9 July, as part of expansion plans to create up to 30 jobs, including the development of the building’s first and second floors and open a fourth restaurant, 'Dylan's Conwy'.
Hundreds went along to check out the store on its opening day, with Dylan’s thanking those customers for the “amazing first day” in Conwy.
Founded by company owners and directors David Evans and Robin Hodgson, this store joins the business’ other store in Menai Bridge, as well as the award-winning waterside restaurants in Menai Bridge, Criccieth and Llandudno.
Located on Conwy High Street, the renovation took months to finish due to the size of the project, overhauling the former site of Drew Pritchard’s Antiques.
This original phase of the Dylan’s Conwy project will create up to ten jobs, with plans to create 30 in total.
A Dylan’s spokesperson said: “We are open in Conwy!
“It's been a very busy few weeks preparing the building for opening, but we made it and your enthusiasm for Dylan's Conwy has meant so much to the entire team - thank you all!
The Conwy store serves and stocks a broad range of freshly made goods from their chefs and bakers, as well as excellent North Wales produce, like in Menai Bridge.
There is an ice cream counter on the righthand side of the store, serving a range of unique flavours including Lemon and Raspberry Meringue, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Tiramisu and Strawberries & Cream.
The store also serves Dylan’s very own produce, including their own sauces (BBQ among them), as well as a varied selection of cured meats, cheeses (including Snowdonia varieties) and fresh vegetables.
With more than 600 lines of products, the store offers a range of locally-sourced products, yet Dylan’s have plans for even bigger things at the site in years to come.
