POLICE say they are cracking down on cannabis cultivation in Rhyl.
The Rhyl Neighbourhood Policing Team said it has been successful in "identifying" residential and business properties that have been taken over to grow cannabis.
The policing team is urging local residents to be vigilant and spot the signs of premises being used for the purposes of cannabis cultivation.

They said: "Have you noticed anything odd in your street of late? A vacant house being developed but work stopping without any reason?"
Police are warning of the following signs to look out for:
- Cooling fans continuously operating
- Smell of cannabis that becomes more potent as time passes
- Curtains closed for long periods of time – are the windows blocked off completely and no lights switching on when people have visited?
- Large amount of condensation on windows when windows are covered up (as above)
- Visits to property in the evening
- Lots of equipment being taken into a property or removed at odd times of the day
Anyone with information on suspect premises can be pass it on to the police anonymously by calling 101, or by reporting through the North Wales Police website.
