HISTORY was made in Bangor at the weekend as it hosted North Wales Pride.
North Wales Pride/Balchder Gogledd Cymru is celebrating its tenth anniversary, but it is the first time an event of this scale was held in the city.
The colourful parade made its way through the High Street to Bangor Cathedral, which was later illuminated in the Pride colours.
After the parade, entertainment was held at Y Ranch.
Photos of the event have been shared with us by North Wales Pride and Panda Prints Photography.
On Facebook, organisers posted: "Wow! Where do we start? Yesterday saw the return of North Wales Pride at the city of Bangor where not only we marked our 10 year anniversary but to bring communities together in a huge celebration of diversity.
"It was incredible to see the city buzzing with colour and love!
"History was made yesterday in this little corner of North Wales.
"See you all in 2023!"
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Keith Parry at Y Ranch.
Keith, pictured above, is well-known locally and was given the award after his tremendous support and services to the LGBTQ+ community in Bangor and North Wales over many years, including volunteering with the Mesmac helpline to a providing a sexual health table at pubs and events.
