A WOMAN has been ordered to pay in excess of £500 after she was found guilty of assaulting a police constable and cocaine possession.
Kerry Shaughnessy, 38, of Barnfield, Wrexham, was accused of the following on May 30:
• Assaulting PC Min at Ty Mawr Holiday Park, Towyn by beating him.
• Possessing a small quantity of cocaine at St Asaph Police Station.
She pleaded guilty to both offences at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on June 20.

Shaughnessy was fined £220, and ordered to pay compensation of £200 and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85.
This made a total of £505, to be paid as a full lump sum within 28 days.
The court also ordered the cocaine be forfeited and destroyed.
A third offence, of common assault of PC Min at Ty Mawr Holiday Park on May 30, was withdrawn.
