MEMBERS of the public are being asked for information after reports that a dog chased a lamb into a river.
North Wales Police launched an appeal following the incident, which took place on Sunday morning.
A spokesman said: "Yet another livestock attack - this time it is reported that a dog similar to an Afghan Hound chased a lamb into the river in fields a short distance from the viaduct at Froncysyllte near Llangollen.
"Thankfully the lamb was uninjured but clearly the lamb could easily have drowned.
"The incident took place [on] June 19, if you have any information that may help us identify the owner of the dog please get in touch."
Anyone who has information can contact police on 101.
