A MAN has been handed a restraining order and is to pay compensation after he was found guilty of assaulting a woman in Kinmel Bay.
Edvinas Kardelis, 33, of Earl Street, was accused of assaulting Laura Banks by beating her on May 17.
He pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on June 6.
Mr Kardelis was ordered not to contact Banks by any means whatsoever, except to make arrangements regarding child contact through a solicitor or by order of the family court.
This order is in effect until December 5, 2023.

He is also to remain a resident at his current Earl Street address for 18 months, and undertake a 35-day programme.
Mr Kardelis must also pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a £95 victim surcharge.
This amounted to a total payment of £180, to be paid in monthly instalments of £24 from July 18.
