A MAN from Kinmel Bay has been handed a suspended sentence and restraining order after he was found guilty of assault.
David Aspinall, 57, of Chester Avenue, was accused of assaulting Alison Aspinall by beating her at his home address on February 12.
He pleaded guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on May 30.

Mr Aspinall was sentenced to 16 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 18 months.
He must not enter Chester Avenue, or contact Alison Aspinall by any means (save for child contact and property adjustments, to be dealt with through a third party) until May 29, 2026.
He is also to undertake a maximum of 20 days’ rehabilitation activity, and complete 140 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months.
Mr Aspinall must also pay £500 in compensation, plus £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
This amounted to a total of £585, which he is to pay in full by June 27.
