THE major ceremony at the Denbigh Urdd Eisteddfod today will be the presentation of the learners medal.
The aim of both the Welsh learners medal and Bobi Jones Medal competitions is to reward an individual who has committed to learning Welsh.
The Welsh learners medal will be awarded to an individual between 18 and 25 years of age who can show how they use the language day to day in college or work and socially, as well as promoting the Welsh language among others.
The Bobi Jones Medal is a relatively new medal for young learners at the Urdd Eisteddfod, which was first awarded in 2019.
