POWER has been restored to traffic lights on numerous Rhyl streets after a power cut caused many to fail to operate today (May 19).
A resident had told the Journal that they noticed lights not working on Kinmel Street, Bodfor Street, Queen Street, and John Street across to Ffynnongroew Road at roughly 9am.
Scottish Power were informed of the issue, with work to resolve it underway immediately.
The issue was resolved this afternoon, with Scottish Power stating an "underground cable fault" was the cause of the problem.
Supplies have now been restored to customers affected by #POWERCUT in #LL18 #Rhyl. Engineers isolated an underground cable fault. Thank you for your patience.
