A MAN who assaulted a woman in Abergele is to pay more than £400 and has been handed a restraining order.
Barnaby Page-Evans, 55, of Nantwich Road, Wrenbury, was accused of assaulting Jacqueline Hardy by beating her in the town on December 27, 2021.
He changed his plea to guilty at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court on May 6.

Mr Page-Evans is now prohibited from contacting her, directly or indirectly, until May 5, 2024, and is to undertake a maximum of 15 days’ rehabilitation.
He is also to pay compensation of £100, a £95 victim surcharge, and costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £250, to be paid in monthly instalments of £50 commencing June 3.
This amounted to a total payment of £445.
