A TAKEAWAY in Prestatyn has received a one-out-of-five food hygiene rating, with “major improvement necessary” in one area.
Yeung Sing, on Meliden Road, was given the score after an assessment on March 3.
The takeaway’s management of food safety was rated “major improvement necessary” by inspectors.
This is regarding the checks in place to ensure food is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and that the food safety officer was confident that such standards will be maintained.

Its hygienic handling of food, including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage, was rated “improvement necessary”.
The cleanliness and condition of the facilities to enable good food hygiene was given a “generally satisfactory” rating.
This included having an appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control.
Of Denbighshire's 85 takeaways with ratings, 34 have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
