A RETAIL park in Rhyl could soon welcome a large takeaway chain.
Plans have been submitted for Papa John’s, the pizza delivery and company takeaway, to take on a vacant unit at the Marina Quay retail park.
Proposals sent to Denbighshire County Council include a visual representation of how the company’s logo would appear on the unit, next to the Batch ice cream parlour.
Marina Quay currently hosts such retail units as a 18,651 sq ft Aldi store, B&M, The Range, Costa Coffee and Greggs.
The retail park, which was constructed in 2017 and comprises more than 105,000 sq ft of prime retail warehouse units, was sold in a deal worth more than £17million to an investor from the Isle of Man in late 2021.

There are currently two Papa John’s takeaways in North Wales; in Wrexham town centre and at Haven Presthaven Holiday Park, by Talacre.
Attempts have been made to contact Papa John’s.
