A MAN from Anglesey has been ordered to pay in excess of £850 after failing to give information when required regarding the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Md Sabbirul Alom Razzaqui, 41, of Amlwch, did not provide information relating to the identity of the driver in question after being asked to do so by a member of North Wales Police.
This was in Prestatyn on June 18, 2021.
Mr Razzaqui pleaded not guilty on November 24, 2021, but a guilty verdict was proved in absence at Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on March 4.
He was fined £660, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66 and costs of £150 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
This amounted to a total of £876, which he was ordered to pay by April 4.
Mr Razzaqui also received six penalty points on his driving record.
He had also been accused of exceeding a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the A55 in May 2021, which he also pleaded not guilty to on November 24, but this was dismissed after no evidence was offered.
