EVERY week we put a spotlight on a business to highlight their services and contribution to the community.
This week’s we are celebrating award winning hairdresser Rebecca Morgan-Brennan. Rebecca opened Morgan’s Hair and Beauty in Prestatyn in 2013 and then incorporated Morgan’s Wigs in January 2014, offering support to those with medical conditions that have led to hair loss.
Rebecca has salons in Chester and Prestatyn. She also runs a hair loss clinic at Code Cosmetics, Llandudno.
Rebecca said: “We opened our doors just over eight years ago.
“We simply love to make people shine again, from our hair and beauty services, through to our dedicated hair loss and wig provision.
“Sadly, the NHS estimate that around eight million women suffer from hair loss in the UK. We help people feel great about themselves through our innovative UltraStrands hair integration system and our amazing array of wigs, hair toppers and hair extensions.
“We understand that thinning hair and total hair loss is devastating and can really damage your self-esteem and confidence.
“We help people deal with the emotional impact of their hair loss and take control again.”
Rebecca has built a passionate and experienced team who are incredibly sympathetic having treated and helped thousands of women and men with their hair loss.
“Our Prestatyn salon offers a large selection of services from our beautiful ground floor salon at the old block buster video store premises,” Rebecca added.
“ Our Chester salon is completely dedicated to helping those with hair loss and is a flagship Ultrastrands salon that also provides training in the system. The building is simply beautiful and a designated Grade II listed building.”
Both salons are NHS Approved wig suppliers for 15 hospital trusts across Wales and England.
Morgan’s has become one of the biggest wig suppliers in Wales for wigs and hair loss solutions.
Talking about achievements and awards, Rebecca commented: “The team work so extremely hard to give an excellent service of which has been recognised this year with winning Hair Salon of the Year at the National Hair and Beauty Awards and Highly Commended outstanding business of the year award at the Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards of which they also won back in 2019.”

Rebecca has spent 20 years as an “established” hairdresser. She made the leap to opening her own salon and named it after her maiden names and youngest son’s forename.
Rebecca has dealt with cancer patients for over 12 years and is experienced in helping, in particular, women with the emotional and mental challenges of dealing with changes to skin and hair when going through treatment, which is sadly all too much of a real part of the process. Over time, her experience has expanded in to other types of hair loss and she now has vast knowledge around the effects both mentally and physically of most hair loss issues from alopecia, trichotillomania, menopause and more recently covid.
Rebecca’s husband Neil gave up his career to help Rebecca expand their services.
Rebecca said: “We have also taken on a marketing company to build our new website and take charge of our TED salon digital screen content. We will be travelling to America in January 2022 to promote and teach the amazing ultrastrands hair system we work with at our salons.
“A hair loss training academy will be open at our Chester Salon in February 2022.
“Our teams are expanding and we are proud to employ 13 staff members and looking to expand our teams further in 2022.”
