NORTH Wales trains have been cancelled while others could face hour-long delays due to concerns over Storm Barra.
Network Rail has enforced a speed restriction on the Holyhead to Chester route following adverse weather conditions on Monday and Tuesday.
Conwy Valley services and between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llandudno services will not run, with passengers advised to use a replacement bus service.
The delays are expected to affect Transport for Wales and Avanti West Coast services until the end of Wednesday.
Strong winds and heavy rain hit North Wales on Tuesday night as Storm Barra swept across the country.
A severe yellow weather warning was in place for the region yesterday and a yellow warning remains in place in Anglesey and Gwynedd on Wednesday.
Services to Crewe, railways in South Wales and between Aberystwyth and Birmingham have also been disrupted by the bad weather.
A statement by National Rail said: "Forecasted severe weather means some routes in Wales will be disrupted until the end of the day.
Due to adverse weather conditions, Network Rail have imposed a speed restriction on all lines between Chester and Holyhead.
"This is expected to cause delays of up to 60 minutes to trains between these stations."
