VANDALS have left a football club "heartbroken" after damaging equipment and facilities.
The incident at Belle Vue on Wednesday night resulted in significant damage to the ground's changing rooms, toilet facilities and first aid rooms.
CPD Y Rhyl 1879, which plays at the ground, said it was "hugely disappointed" and would be hard for its volunteers to face.
In a social media statement, the club said: "Following the recent positivity and progress our club has been making both on and off the pitch, we are hugely disappointed that some members of our local community broke in last night to TRASH [sic] various rooms including both men, women and girls' equipment, first aid rooms plus additional damage to the ground and toilets.
"This is so hard to see and deal with when lots of fantastic people put in all of their spare hours in voluntarily to then deal with this."
The statement added: "#heartbroken."
North Wales Police has been asked for comment.
