Also on stage entertaining the crowd will be Rhyl Pavilion pantomime's Cinderella cast, including Coronation Street's Hayley Tammadon, as well as singer Mike Andrew as Robbie Williams and female vocalist Gem Johnson.
Jason Manford said: “I can’t wait to come to Rhyl, it’s a great place to perform and there’s always an amazing atmosphere. The light switch on will start the Christmas festivities and I’m honoured to have been invited this year.”
Jamie Groves, managing director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, said: “We are delighted to have secured such a great line up at the light switch on this year, it has long been established as a way of kick starting the Christmas celebrations. We would encourage people to join in with the activities and come get into the festive spirit with Denbighshire Leisure Ltd and Rhyl Town Council.”
Cllr Diane King, Rhyl mayor, said: “We are so pleased to be able to support this year’s Christmas lights switch on. A highlight in the town’s events calendar.
"We really missed the lights switch on last year but we’re back with a sparkle and looking forward to welcoming Jason Manford to Rhyl to start off the festivities ahead of his performance at the Pavilion.”
