IT'S NOT unusual for concert goers to stand when watching live-music, and the same will be asked for fans attending Sir Tom Jones's performance in Rhyl.
Sir Tom Jones will descend on Rhyl Events Arena for his highly anticipated outdoor concert on Wednesday, September 1.
This is in celebration of the Welsh legend releasing his 41st studio album ‘Surrounded by Time’.
With the gates opening at 5pm, an expected sell-out crowd of 7,000 concert goers and support act Megan McKenna, fans are in for a magical night.
However, many readers have been in touch about seating and what is in place for fans with accessible needs.
A spokesperson for Orchard Live, Concert promoter, said: “The Tom Jones event at Rhyl Events Arena on September 1 has always been advertised and sold as a fully standing concert and therefore unfortunately we are unable to allow folding chairs or picnic furniture into the arena.
"We do have an accessible viewing area with temporary seating for customers with accessible needs, but tickets sold out very quickly for this area, as space was limited.
"The number of tickets made available for the accessible area was decided by several factors, including the number of people attending and a health and safety risk assessment of this standing concert.
"As outlined in the terms and conditions for this event, sadly we cannot allow furniture or additional seating into this event.”
Here is a run-down of the essential things you need to know ahead of the event:
