Drug dealer Michael Hill was caught three times in four days in a police sting.
It began on January 4 when undercover police used a County Lines phone number to get “one of each” – wraps of cocaine and heroin.
Then on January 7 and 8 drugs were picked up from him by an officer after criminals had unknowingly put a police number on a data base for “flare messaging” drug offers by text.
Hill, aged 25, of Ffordd Pennant, Meliden, pleaded guilty to six charges of supplying cocaine and heroin and was jailed for four years.
Philip Clemo, prosecuting at Caernarfon Crown Court, revealed that in July 2019 Hill got a three and a half year sentence at Mold Crown court for identical offences.
Simon Mintz, defending, said Hill and his partner had endured difficulties after his release and because of Covid. He had been unable to get a job. Now he was remorseful and wanted to lead a more proactive life.
Mr Recorder John Philpotts warned Hill that a third drugs conviction could mean a seven year sentence. “I’m satisfied you played a significant role,” he told him.
