THE mayor and mayoress of Abergele gave out about 200 eggs to excited children on Easter Sunday.
Cllr Alan Hunter and his wife Cheryl paid a visit to Abergele Rugby club to meet youngsters after training.
They then carried out a drive in an open top car from Belgrano and visited Pensarn and Abergele.
Cllr Hunter said: "We stopped and gave out cream eggs to any children we met on the way. We were on the promenade from 2pm until 3pm and then Pentre Mawr Park. Our last drive around finished at 4.15pm.
"We gave out almost 200 eggs.
"We hope we brought a bit of cheer and fun to as many children as possible and the bunny is sorry he couldn't see everyone."
The eggs were funded by Abergele Town Council Mayors Fund.
Cllr Hunter added: "The 200 eggs didn't include the chocolate bars given out at the rugby club.
"The club supplied the chocolate for their youngsters."
