A 59-year-old director of a recycling firm was sent for trial to the crown court charged with manslaughter after the death of a worker more than three years ago.
No plea was indicated by Stephen Jones of Llannerch Road West, Rhos-on-Sea, who is charged with the manslaughter of Norman Butler of Prestatyn, a grandfather who was 60 when he was killed in November 2017.
The tragedy involved a machine at the Recycling Cymru plant on the Tir Llwyd industrial estate in Kinmel Bay.
At a remote hearing at Llandudno magistrates’ court Stephen Jones was bailed to appear at Caernarfon crown court on March 8.
He and his company also face a Health and Safety charge.
