A CHILD was bitten by a dog on the way to school.

The incident happened on Ffordd Penrhwylfa near Winchester Drive in Prestatyn.

The dog was described as a German Shepherd and was being walked by a woman.

A spokesperson from North Wales Police Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele said: "On Monday, September 9 at approximately 8.30am a young child was walking to school when he was bitten by a dog on Penrhwylfa near Winchester Drive."
