HUNDREDS of shoppers and fans packed into the Tweedmill to catch a glimpse of Welsh singer Aled Jones and tenor Russell Watson.
The singers were performing at the Tweedmill in St Asaph to mark the shopping outlet’s 25th birthday celebrations.
The duo were a little delayed starting; Russell was stuck in traffic. Despite this, fans eagerly awaited the duo and were delighted when they arrived.
Photographer Phil Micheu said: “People were a little frustrated waiting at first. They were suppose to be starting at 11am and didn’t start until 12pm.
“When he arrived, Aled made a joke and they had a laugh about it. Poking fun and saying sorry to the crowd.
“They were good when they got going. They get on very well and a little like Morecambe and Wise or Ant and Dec.
“They went down very well and fans were very appreciative.

“They were well received and their singing was out of this world. It was all very upbeat.
“People were very happy when it got going - the top floor was packed.”
Aled and Russell performed two slots. They also met and chatted to customers.
Posting on Facebook after the event, the Tweedmill thanked shoppers for their ‘patience and support’.
“We apologise in advance to anyone that made the effort to attend our event but we’re unable to get in due to the high volume of visitors,” they added.
“As with any free event you just never know how many people will turn up. And we are well aware that some people went away disappointed.
“We would like to thank everyone for their loyalty and support over the last 25 years.”
One fan posted on Facebook: "It was brilliant, plus the slight delay was out of your hands! Thank you for giving us the free entertainment."
Another said: "It was great to see Aled and Russell. Well done to you all."
