EAGER shoppers queued to enter Aldi's newest North Wales store in Rhyl earlier today.
The discount supermarket chain opened the doors of its new seafront store to a crowd of excited consumers at around 8am.
The scores of people waiting to get a glimpse of the Marina Quay retail park superstore were greeted with special discounts and offers
A brief ribbon-cutting ceremony involving staff took place ahead of the official opening.
The new store will provide Rhyl with 10 new full-time jobs and retain a further 25 full-time equivalent jobs from Aldi's Wellington Road store which will close on August 14 and is on the market for £1.5million.
The supermarket joins The Range, Farm Foods, Greggs and Batch Ice Cream Parlour at Rhyl's £25million retail park.
The new store has been developed to make shopping easier for customers with wider aisles and clearer signs.
The store will also offer large chillers, and a ‘Food to Go’ section at the front of the store.
Bryn Richards, Property Director for Aldi said: “The new store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers so they can see it for themselves. There will be many promotions in store on the opening day including some of our special buys at 60 per cent off .”
