A THREE-minute fly-through visualisation shows what Rhyl's new £23million faith school will look like.
Christ the Word Catholic School will replace Ysgol Mair and Blessed Edward Jones Catholic High School.
The school will open in 2019. The video showcases what the outside of the build will look like, the main corridors, classrooms including cooking areas and the music department and sporting facilities.
In the canteen, words from John 8:12 will be on display:
“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"
The video also shows picnic benches outside in the yard, which are placed undercover, and two large sporting fields.
Last week, Christ the Word's logo was unveiled.
The logo incorporates a dove, olive branch and a bible.
Gill Greenland, chair of the temporary governing body for Christ the Word, said: “It was great to see pupils who had developed the ideas being able to see their initial drawings taken forward as part of the new logo for Christ the Word.”
The school, which will cater for 420 full time pupils aged three to 11 and 500 pupils aged 11-16, is funded in partnership by Denbighshire County Council and the Welsh Government through its 21st Century Schools Programme.
Kier Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the development, which will be delivered for the Diocese of Wrexham
