FUNDING for a train station for Towyn and Kinmel Bay is not being pursued.
North Wales transport consortium Taith said it will not apply for funding for a new station as "necessary infrastructure improvements have not been carried out".
Last month £20million of UK Government funding for new stations to be built in smaller towns was announced by Secretary of State for Transport Patrick McLoughlin.
Clwyd West AM Darren Millar had called on Taith to access the funding and has said he is disappointed it is not being pursued.
