JOHNSON Sheila Frances (Carney) Sadly passed away on 21st October 2023, aged 96. She was cared for in her final years at Chaseley House, Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales. Wife of the late Deryck Johnson (formerly Police Superintendent of Bury Metropolitan Authority) mother of Margaret, Bernadette, James and Paul, grandmother of ten and great-grandmother of thirteen. Former pupil and teacher at Bury Convent school, teacher and Headteacher of St. Mary's Catholic Infant school, Radcliffe, teacher at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Primary school, Prestwich and parishioner of St. Bernadette's, Whitefield. Sheila's funeral service will take place on Friday 10th November 2023 at 12 noon followed by interment at Llanrhos Lawn Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received towards St David's Hospice or Cafod.
