TWO auto traders from Wrexham have clashed in a ‘what’s-in-a-name’ row.
Robert Griffiths, who runs a business on the Felin Puleston Industrial Estate in Ruabon Road, called in the internet domain name watchdog, accusing rival Richard Bennit, who trades from Riverside Yard, Hightown Road, of abusive registration of the internet name wrexhammotcentre.co.uk.
However, internet domain name expert Tim Brown, appointed as a judge by Nominet, the internet dispute resolution service which polices use of internet names, has thrown out his claim.
Dismissing the complaint, he added: “Having carefully read and taken into account all he submissions and evidence, I do not consider that the complainant has demonstrated on the balance of probabilities that the domain name is an abusive registration.”
He said no action should be taken in relation to use of the name by Mr Bennit.
