THERE have been serious delays on the A55 this evening (Tuesday, June 14) due to a vehicle fire.
At 7pm, Traffic Wales warned motorists that queues were likely due to the incident.
The fire has taken place on the A55 eastbound between Junction 31 at Caerwys and Junction 32 at Dolphin (Holywell).

A further update from Traffic Wales shows that the vehicle fire has taken place close to Pantasaph with both lanes on that side of the dual carriageway closed.
North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue have been on the scene dealing with the incident.

An Inrix traffic data update at 9pm read: "Severe delays of 21 minutes and delays increasing on A55 North Wales Expressway Eastbound between J31 A5151 (Caerwys) and J32 A5026 (Holywell). Average speed five mph."
